Pubs and other businesses

Newton Poppleford is now a fairly peaceful village, with residents mostly employed in larger towns.  However in past decades (and centuries) it was a thriving village with many shops and other businesses, and of course public houses.

The Turks Head

This old pub was demolished in the 1960s to allow the main road to be widened.
